Meet Our Dog Walking Team
Experienced, trustworthy professionals who are background-checked, Pet First Aid and CPR certified, and skilled with dogs of every breed, age, and temperament.

The quality of a dog walking service comes down to the person who shows up at your door. Whether your dog is a high-energy puppy, a laid-back senior, an athletic breed, or a gentle companion who needs patient encouragement, our walkers deliver individualized care that keeps your dog happy, healthy, and safe. Chevy Chase families trust our team because we invest in finding, training, and keeping the right people — not just filling schedules.
How We Hire and Train
We do not hire casually. Every candidate goes through a detailed hiring process that includes a criminal background check, reference verification, and an in-person interview with our leadership team. Once on the team, new walkers complete Pet First Aid and CPR certification and begin hands-on training before walking their first client dog.
Training covers leash handling, breed-specific behavior, reading canine body language, safety protocols for weather extremes, and proper home security procedures. We also hold regular team meetings for ongoing education and skill development. Our walkers are not random gig workers — they are professionals who develop real relationships with the dogs in their care.

Consistency Your Dog Can Count On
Dogs thrive on routine and familiar faces. When you become a recurring client, we assign a primary walker to your dog. Your dog sees the same person at the door, builds trust over time, and settles into a comfortable routine. If your primary walker is unavailable, a trained backup who already knows your dog and your household steps in. We brief every backup walker on your dog's preferences, behavioral notes, and any special instructions so the transition is seamless for your pet.

How Our Walkers Keep You Informed
After every visit, your walker submits a detailed report through our Time to Pet platform. Reports include the exact time of arrival and departure, a written summary of the walk, observations about your dog's energy and behavior, photos and videos, and a GPS map of the route. If your walker notices anything that needs your attention — a change in behavior, a slight limp, unusual tiredness, or a skin issue — they flag it in the report and follow up with you directly.
What We Look for in Every Team Member
Professional dog walking is not for everyone. We are selective because your dog deserves someone who takes this work seriously. The qualities we prioritize include:
- •A genuine love and respect for animals
- •Dependability in all conditions and situations
- •Clear and proactive communication skills
- •Physical fitness for walking multiple times per day in every season
- •The maturity and composure to handle unexpected situations calmly
Many of our team members have backgrounds in veterinary care, animal behavior, fitness, or education — fields that translate directly into the skills needed for high-quality professional dog walking.
